Educational Policy
Duncombe's strength is the happiness and confidence that each child exudes throughout the school, in all areas of learning. The children love coming to school!
Duncombe offers a broad, balanced education that develops the whole child. Within small classes, each child's progress is nurtured and where specialist help is required, staff from our Individual Needs department mentor small groups on a regular basis so that every child reaches his or her full potential.
By following the National Curriculum and adding to it, children are prepared for the move to the senior school of choice at 11 years.
Homework
We believe that regular homework is essential to supplement learning in the classroom and to teach children the benefit of individual study. Each class has a homework timetable designed so each child gains the most from the curriculum.
