   Breakfast Club

Breakfast Club takes place in the New Hall from 7.30am. A supervised self service breakfast is available for both children and parents, consisting of juice, cereals, croissants, toast, milk and hot chocolate/tea/coffee.

If you would like your child to join the Breakfast Club, please download the booking form from the Parent Portal and return the completed form to the School Office.

Bookings are taken on a termly basis, with the option to change them by giving a month's notice in writing. Children may attend as many or as few mornings per week as you wish.

After School Activities

Horse Riding  Cookery

Main School

For those pupils staying for After School Activities, a supervised self-service tea, prepared daily by our catering staff, is provided at 3.30pm for the Lower School and 3.50pm for the Upper School.  All children are encouraged to make healthy choices and to finish their tea with a piece of fruit.

Clubs run from 4.00pm (or 4.10pm for offsite activities) for approximately one hour. A wide selection of activities is offered which varies from term to term, ensuring there is something of interest to each child.

Prep, supervised by a member of the academic leadership team, is also available from 4.00pm to 5.00pm.

Children going home immediately after their club are collected from the Old Hall, with parents or carers signing their children out.

After the clubs have finished, care is provided from 5.00 - 6.00pm.  Children have the opportunity to read or play quietly in a classroom adjoining the Old Hall and parents or carers collect their children from that classroom, signing them out as they leave.

Treetops - Early Years

The Treetops After School Care is provided in the Main School building and is available until 6.00pm. The pupils have tea which is prepared daily on the premises. After tea the children are offered a variety of activities which may include construction puzzles, board games, art and craft and home corner. Weather permitting, the children spend some time playing outside. Parents or carers collect the children from Old Hall and are required to sign them out.

Older Treetops children have the opportunity to participate in activities such as ballet, gymnastics, football, Spanish and ICT at an appropriate level. We also run our own Rainbows pack.

Sibling Club

Mindful of the fact that many families have children in both Treetops and/or the Lower School where the day ends at 3.30pm as well as in the Upper School which ends at 3.50pm, supervision is provided for the younger siblings until parents have collected their older children. There is no charge for this.

Holiday Clubs

Duncombe hosts two holiday clubs during the Easter and Summer holidays.

For children from 6 years upwards we work in conjunction with a specialist holiday club company and provide activity weeks open to Duncombe and non-Duncombe pupils alike.

For Duncombe pupils currently attending Treetops or children joining Treetops the following term, we run our popular in-house Treetops Holiday Club.

In the Summer Holiday 2010 a very successful 'bushcraft' residential week was held for Duncombe pupils at Chilton Cantelo school in Yeovil, Somerset and it is hoped to run a similar week in 2012. Watch this space!
