Mrs Jane Reeves, Catering Manager at Duncombe School, has been awarded the prestigious title of Independent School Catering Manager of the Year by our catering company Thomas Franks.

Mrs Reeves has worked at Duncombe since Thomas Franks took over the school’s catering eighteen months ago and she has been keen to respect the views and opinions of the pupils and staff while upgrading the catering service. As a result of the efforts of Jane and her team, Duncombe’s school meals have become a highlight of the school day and parents eagerly anticipate their child’s turn to ‘Bring a Parent to Lunch’.

Mrs Reeves was instrumental in the introduction of the very successful Duncombe Master Chef competition and the ‘Duncombe at the Ritz’ evening when Year 6 pupils assist with the preparation and serving of a three course dinner for their parents. And when the School is hosting events that need extra catering finesse, Jane really comes into her own, whether it is fine dining for the Summer Ball or tempting tea-time pastries on grandparents’ afternoons.
