Music, meditation and maha-mantras.
This week Year 5 visited Bhaktivedanta Manor near Watford as part of their Religious Education studies on Hinduism. The Temple was established in 1973 by His Divine Grace A.C.Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. Our pupils had a fun packed day; touring the main house including the temple, theatre and the founder’s quarters and taking in the farm and the peaceful garden which is dedicated to the late Beatle George Harrison, who donated the estate. They increased their learning about the various gods through stories and acting; admired the beautiful sacred cows, had their faces intricately decorated and then thoroughly enjoyed a delicious vegetarian meal before heading back to Hertford. . . namaste.
