Under my umbrella… ella ella !
As part of our science work we tested a variety of materials to see which would make a good umbrella.
Thick and thin fabric, tin foil, plastic were all tested. The children were asked to predict, based on their knowledge’ which material would not let the water through.
Once predictions were made the materials were tested.
Foil and plastic were found to both be waterproof. However the children decided that as foil tears, it would not be suitable.
Then Harrison proved a good sport as we tested our coats to see if they were waterproof.
They are !! Harrison was dry underneath !!!!
