Year 5 trip to the London RAF museum
The 100 year anniversary of the end of World War 1 takes place this year, and as part of their study of this momentous event in world history, Year 5 went an information packed visit to the London RAF Museum. They learnt about the advances in technology as the war progressed and the vital role that the RAF played in winning the war. Our expert guide explained the sub-zero conditions that the pilots would have had to wear to protect themselves – you can see some of the children enjoy their chance to model some replica outfits. We also had some time to explore the rest of the RAF museum – the children were in awe of the sheer size and range of aviation devices on display. A wonderful, engaging and educational trip.
