DB Marathon training update

Today Mr Le Tissier and I went on our last long training run ahead of the London Marathon. This meant we ran 22 miles! Mr Le Tissier seemed to get a few funny looks while running with me, I’m not sure why but he just grinned and ‘bear’ed it.

We covered a lot of ground; I must say, I felt most at home going through the woods.

After about 10 miles it was starting to get a bit grizzly with one too many hills so I stopped for an energy gel and was ready to go again.

It was a beautiful day for a run… not too hot, not too cold but just right. It was clear that spring had sprung as well with all the dandelions out.

The worse part of the run was after it had finished… I tried to explain to Mr Le Tissier that I was only a quarter Polar and that I wasn’t suited to the ice, but he insisted that an ice bath was essential recovery!
