Nothing’s puzzling us!

This week saw the first of hopefully an annual ‘Duncombe Puzzle Challenge Day’ in association with NACE.

Ahead of our ‘Whole School Puzzle Challenge Day’, on Wednesday evening our parents had the opportunity to apply their strategic thinking, riddle solving and logic to a number of challenge based activities as our NACE representative Anne Nelson unpacked the NACE programme and its manifold benefits for Duncombe pupils. We remain the only school in the area to have such a programme for our pupils and we were delighted with the feedback that was shared both from parents and Anne.

Today has been the children’s turn to experience the programme. Across the day year groups have been spilt into small teams, where as a team they’ve had to tackle a number of seemingly impossible tasks. With the adoption of combined thinking, teamwork and strategy guidance, pupils were amazed at what could be tackled and achieved.

Thank you to Miss Watson who is leading the NACE programme and to the support given by Miss Micelle and Mrs Takawira for the evening.
