“Forest School has been a firm favourite of both my children while they were in Duncombe Treetops. They love that it’s dedicated time to be allowed to get dirty, and also a chance to explore in the woods and trees, and eat marshmallows! They would both come home with various objects they had made, such as hedgehog houses, ladybird stones and stick dogs, and all were proudly displayed in our own garden.”

Our School Journey

Early Years

(2 to 4 years)

The Early Kindergarten, Kindergarten and Nursery children take part in a specialist curriculum according to their age which could include weekly phonics, language lessons, P.E, dance, cookery, music, ICT and Forest School. There is nothing more important to us than the happiness and wellbeing of our children; this takes priority above all else. We strive to create a warm and calm environment, where children are nurtured and respected.

Lower School

(3 to 7 years)

Our Reception class remain at Duncombe Treetops to give them a little longer in familiar surroundings before they move to the Main School building for Lower School in Year 1. It also gives them an early opportunity to be role models for the younger children and to take on positions of responsibility within the secure setting.

Upper School

(7 to 11 years)

Our Prep School offers all of the National Curriculum subjects with a strong emphasis on English and Maths, plus specialist teachers delivering French, Spanish, Music and Physical Education and Forest School. Our small classes ensure that teachers can monitor the learning needs of each child.
