At Duncombe, we are extremely proud of our school ethos, which promotes the education the whole child in a nurturing and safe environment. We believe that striving for high standards in all areas of life, and encouraging self-discipline, self-motivation, self-respect and providing children with a broad and balanced curriculum encourages them to realise their full potential.
The Duncombe Diploma is a bespoke programme, which celebrates and challenges the ‘whole child’ and reflects the vast experience that Duncombe children are exposed to throughout their whole time with us, right through from Treetops to Year 6.
There are five core values that make up the Duncombe Diploma, each of which is designed to encourage personal growth and develop the skills required throughout our pupils’ school career and beyond.
Determination
The drive and motivation to overcome both physical and mental barriers in order to achieve your goals
Courage
Having the self-belief, resilience and confidence to face and overcome challenges
Respect
Showing understanding, respect and humility to all those around. Taking care of one’s self, peers and the environment
Inspiration
To be motivated by the achievements and actions of others and to strive to inspire others by being a positive example
Excellence
Trying to be your best at whatever you do. Taking part, trying hard and progressing according to your objectives
