Welcome to Duncombe. A private school in Hertfordshire. Building a firm foundation for your child.

As Hertford’s only co-educational independent Primary and Nursery School for ages 2-11, we are proud to have been educating children in and around our community for over 75 years. At Duncombe we believe the best education is a well-rounded one and encourage every child to realise their full potential.

We nurture our children’s minds through an inspiring educational journey, encouraging our children to have big dreams! All our children are treated as individuals, encouraged to develop strength of character and prepared for life beyond Duncombe with an open, confident and inquisitive mind.

Our high academic standards are achieved through a diverse curriculum, specialist teaching and a vast number of opportunities. All of these enable independent and creative thinking, resulting in all-round academic excellence.

Team Duncombe warmly invites you and your family to visit us for a tour of the school and discover what a Duncombe education is all about. Please contact us to book a private tour or to reserve your place at a forthcoming Open Morning.
