A Week of Celebration and Competition!
This week got off to a fantastic start with 3EG’s assembly on Monday, setting the tone with a delightful mini play full of song, dance, comic timing, and, most importantly, pure joy! A huge congratulations to all the pupils and the dedicated 3EG team for their wonderful performance.
As we close the week, our U11 netball girls have been competing at the IAPS Regional Finals in Ipswich. We can’t wait to hear all about their experience and celebrate their achievements as we await the final results. Well done to all involved!
Beyond the stage and the sports field, pupils have been working hard across all lessons. Visitors to today’s Open Morning commented on how positively the children engaged with them across every phase of the school – a testament to the warmth, curiosity, and enthusiasm that shines through each day. We are incredibly proud of our pupils and staff, who continually embody our shared vision of a holistic education: embracing opportunities, giving things a go, and celebrating both individual and collective achievements.
Looking ahead, next week promises more exciting moments before we head into half term. Year 3 will be stepping back in time as they explore the wonders of Ancient Rome on their special History Day—another chance for learning to come alive with joy and discovery! Tuesday marks Safer Internet Day, bringing a host of events, including our Wellbeing in a Digital World evening from 6pm to 8pm. If you haven’t yet booked a place, do check the link on our social media and attached leaflet to secure one of the few remaining spots.
There’s plenty of sporting action across the week to enjoy, and on Thursday we’ll be dressing up to support Woburn’s House Charity, Grove Cottage which is a wonderful way to round off the half term in true Duncombe
spirit.
Wishing everyone a restful and enjoyable weekend! Mr Phelan.
