Old wellies as flower pots – why not?

It’s lovely to have a bit of colour in a garden, and not just from the plants. Yesterday a team of Upper School gardeners were outside upcycling old wellies making drainage holes and filling them with soil and plants. We hopd you agree that they look great and really help to brighten up the Secret Garden.

We also have lots of coloured buckets filled with pansies and we have planted some fragrant lavender to attract pollinators.  We acquired a lovely dog rose from the Woodland Trust which has been planted in the centre of the Year 6 bed.

Our potatoes are now showing good signs of growth and the Kitchen Garden is really thriving.  Year 2 had a fantastic time planting the vegetable plants that Mr. Colletti kindly donated, a huge thanks to him.  We are now looking forward to eating the crop!
