The Time-travelling slide

How lucky are we at Duncombe to have the wonderful sunken outdoor space that is the Dell.  And, what a fabulous assembly “The Time-travelling slide”, held in the Dell this sunny morning by 6LT all about what their futures might hold… “stand on your left leg, hold your nose with your right hand, shake your right leg and left hand in the air and sing God Save the Queen”.

Travelling with our pupils from Duncombe Speech Day, to secondary school and GCSE choices, forward onto university all taken in their stride as firm foundations laid at Duncombe, then to 2028 representing TeamGB at the Olympics to applying for jobs . . . and remember what Mr Phelan taught you “Firm handshake, eye contact, good manners and don’t twiddle your hair!’.

Then a tuneful rendition of “Once I was two years old my momma told me, you’re going to Treetops, make friends and you’ll be happy . . . “

Well done 6LT and Mr Le Tissier
